Our goal is to help your body function at its optimum level - whether that be at work, on the playing field, recovering from surgery or just going about your day-to-day life.

Sports Injuries

Picking up an injury when training for an important event or taking part in sports can be hugely frustrating: it may be tempting to soldier on in order to participate in a long-awaited marathon or to avoid letting your team down. Not giving your injury time to heal and getting the right treatment, however, may mean you are prolonging your ultimate recovery or risking chronic problems.

Getting an early diagnosis for your sports injury is vital. Our physiotherapists have extensive experience in treating sports injuries, and will often have worked with elite sportspeople and teams on a regular basis.

Assessing and treating your sports injury

During your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will discuss your condition and perform a comprehensive physical examination to identify the source of the problem. The diagnosis and prognosis will then be fully explained and treatment goals are agreed. Treatment normally starts during the initial session and an on-site rehabilitation suite is available to help with the treatment of sports injuries at our London City clinic in Lime St.

Treatment will include techniques such as joint and spinal mobilisation and manipulation, soft tissue massage and release techniques, taping, acupuncture, biofeedback, electrotherapy (such as ultrasound and interferential), and advice and personalised exercise therapy for self-management of your condition.
